POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for a variety of operations support duties including the wire transfer process, handling return items, research requests, ATM/Debit Card maintenance, internet banking support, various reconcilements, internal and external customer support, etc. This position will be assigned primary duties within the department while maintaining competence in all other duties through periodic rotation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Process and/or verify wire transfers according to bank policy. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidance such as OFAC.
•Process cash letter adjustments, large item returns and any other adjustment items with the Federal Reserve.
•Reconcile official checks of the bank.
•Reconcile various other activities of the bank such as Due-From Bank Accounts, ATM/Debit Card Reports, ACH file totals, subsidiary application balancing, etc.
•Preparing annual escheatment of abandoned assets to the State of Texas. Includes coordinating reviews of all deposit accounts, safe deposit box contents, official checks, etc.
•Processing charge-back items received from the Federal Reserve in accordance with bank policy.
•Provide advanced internet banking support to bank customers including enrollment in Cash Management Services and ongoing support of those services.•Conduct detailed account research for subpoenas, customer requests and/or internal requests.
•Maintain dormant accounts in accordance with bank policy.
•Rework exception items from daily processing.
PREFERRED SKILS:
•High School Diploma or higher AND minimum of three years related banking experience.
•Intermediate knowledge of related state and federal baking regulations.
•Excellent math and analytical skills. MUST be detail oriented.
•Professional verbal communication skills as evidenced by the ability to interact successfully with customers and co-workers. Demonstrated ability to use discretion, tact and diplomacy.
•Proven ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
•Flexibility in work schedule, work assignments, etc.
•Strong computer skills including knowledge of core software, research software, spreadsheets and word processing.
