The responsibilities of this position include but not limited to buying and selling foreign currency and U.S. currency to the traveling and non-traveling public at O'Hare International Airport, accurately and efficiently processing bank transactions, and fully complying with company and departmental policies and regulations. 

Responsibilities:
  • Performing as a paying and receiving teller.
  • Accepting deposits: verifying cash for accuracy.
  • Perform internal transfers.
  • Answer phones and perform telephone transfers.
  • Buy/sell money for teller drawer for the day's needs.
  • Maintain cash in accordance with policy.
  • Balancing teller drawer daily.
  • Place holds on deposits as needed.
  • Adherence to bank policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining excellent customer service, greeting customers and facilitating a welcome and warm environment.
  • Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • 1 or more years of teller experience required; cash handling required.
  • 1 or more years of banking experience preferred. 
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to pass a background check run by O'Hare International Airport required during the badging process to gain access to the location inside security.
  • Familiarity with foreign currency exchange is a plus.

Seaway Bank (a division of State Bank of Texas) has several foreign exchange locations inside O'Hare International Airport as well as two banking locations. All bank staff are to be trained to work in both bank teller positions as well as foreign currency teller roles. Normal bank teller transactions are also a large portion of this position's responsibilities as many airport vendors are serviced at the bank locations.
These airport locations are open 7 days a week with the earliest opening at 6:00am and the latest closing at 9:00pm; all shifts are rotating.
